Zhang Yuqi’s Vintage Chignon Hairstyle

Zhang Yuqi exudes old world charm in this vintage chignon at “The Great Gatsby” premiere in Cannes. Your best friend for this type of hairstyle is none other than a really good styling product. A gel with a vice-like grip will do the trick.

Create a side part first then section hair into three (right, left and middle) after applying gel all over.  Twist the middle portion into a tight chignon, applying pins as you go. Roll the left section inwards and secure with a pin. Style the right section in deep waves using large duckbill aluminum hair clips. Do three large waves, pushing the first wave forward towards the face. Set the style with hairspray. Once hair has hardened, remove the clips.
