Fall 2013 Runway’s Most Covetable Hairstyles

Runway hairstyles have become a standard of the coif world. Creative geniuses work their magic in creating hairstyles that are heavily imitated and adored all throughout the season and beyond.

Fall Runway 2013 hairstyles celebrate femininity and a little bit of funk. Sophistication is not lost in the hairstyles even though texture overpowers a heavily polished mane.

Though many hairstyles for Fall have sufficed, these collection are the ones that are actually wearable and has a swoon-worthy factor!

Low Ponytail

Ralph Lauren’s trademark seamless sophisticated style was transcended to their chosen hairstyle for the 2013 Fall runway. Brit stylist extraordinaire, Guido Palau, created a classic ponytail with a slight volume on top. The elastic was wrapped with a small section of the hair for a clean finish.

Roughed-Up Hair

Tousled mane reigned supreme at Karen Walker’s! The models sported roughed-up tresses for that sexy bedhead look. Comb a good volumizing mousse through damp hair before blow drying it. Finger comb hair right after and scrunch the ends to create a bit of body. Effortless chic!

Unkempt Beehive

Dolce & Gabbana relived vintage high glam with an unkempt beehive. The hair was teased to achieve that distinctive colossal top before pulling it into a loose bun.

Inverted Weave

The upside down braided hairstyle at Badgley Mischka stole our hearts away! It’s a very creative and an uberly alluring version of a classic. Tip: To achieve a tidy weave, ask someone to do it for you. This is the type of braided hairstyle with an attached tricky factor.

Disheveled Bun

We are giving a strong seal of approval for the contrasting look of disheveled hairstyle and glamorously made-up face. It’s a perfect match of extremes that actually works; plus, doing it is a breeze! Lightly shake your hair using your hands before pulling it back into a loose bun. Hairspray’s optional.

Olivier Rousteing’s unbelievably magnificent creations are exemplified by a bare-faced look and a suave brushed back coif. Less is definitely great! Hair Stylist, Sam McKnight, dubbed his work as ‘dirty, rock ‘n roll chic’!

Textured Minimalist

Yet another minimalist vibe governed the catwalk at Isabel Marant. Models let it all loose with a relaxed textured hairstyle that coincides with Marant’s very own persona.

Blob Ponytail

Models at Anna Sui sported humongous bubbled ponytails while sashaying down the runway. Cute with an edge is what it was. Retro ready? Create a high ponytail, and then tease the hair for a nice poof. Pin the hair underneath the base of the ponytail before arranging it into a ball-like style.

Simple & Sleek

Models at Reed Krakoff went for ultra femme and polished hairstyles care of Redken’s Creative Director, Guido. Adding a spritz of soft-hold hairspray to your brush before running it through your hair after a blowout will hold the look and keep frizz at bay.

Punk’d

Punk is definitely the look of the year. From hairstyles to couture – everybody’s going gaga for this subculture! Create a faux hawk by twisting your hair in a French updo fashion then keep the ends on top messy and spiky. Finish off with a medium hold hairspray, tousle it up a bit and you…are…done!
